The most important decision you will ever make during your lifetime will be choosing to make Jesus your Lord and Saviour. Not only will He be your Lord and Saviour, but He will also be your God, your king and best friend. He will lead and guide you your whole life. Receiving Jesus as your Lord and Saviour is so simple – He has done everything for you in providing salvation through and by the cross. Now, all you need to do is believe and receive by inviting Him to come make your heart His home.
Before you pray I want to highlight God’s Word and promises.
Romans 10: 9-10 (KJV)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10: 13 (KJV)
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
2 Corinthians 1: 20 (KJV)
For all the promises of God in him are yes and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Pray the following prayer out loud
Father God, I come before you now and I ask that You forgive me for not believing in Your Son, Jesus, and all that He has done for me at the cross. Jesus, I now confess that You are my Lord and Saviour and I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. I invite You now to come make my heart Your home and lead and guide me all the days of my life. I receive Your gift of salvation by faith! Thank you for loving me and saving me. Amen.
Welcome to the family of God
You are now a born again, blood washed, Spirit-filled child of God. You have been reconciled to God, your Father, through Christ. Jesus is now with you, in you and for you every day and every minute. You are forgiven, accepted in the beloved, redeemed, justified, delivered, healed and have been made whole, favoured, blessed and deeply loved by the King of kings. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5: 17 (KJV)
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.
